On November 12, the Transforming Children's Care Collaborative hosted a webinar to explore insights from two Australian initiatives—Professional Individualised Care (PIC) and the Centre for Relational Care (CRC)—that are reshaping alternative care models and broader child protection systems to prioritize relationships and protection through connection.

- Pathways to Deinstitutionalisation: How the PIC model has created new family-based care options for children in New South Wales, reduced reliance on residential care, and achieved better outcomes at lower cost.
- Reimagining the Role of Social Service Workers: How professional social service workers are being engaged as highly-skilled therapeutic one-to-one caregivers who welcome a child or young person into their home, offering individualised care within the context of healthy attachment.
- Reorienting Systems: How to shift from compliance- and risk-driven approaches that fracture relationships toward systems that prioritize connection and break intergenerational cycles of harm.
