On Monday, November 3rd, A Family for Every Orphan hosted an interactive consultation and introductory launch of the Family-First Framework — a practical and adaptable set of visual tools designed to help countries strengthen their national systems for the well-being, protection, and care of children.
The session explored the Framework’s visuals, discussed its usability across diverse contexts, and gathered insights to inform the next phase of its improvement and application around the world.
The event also marked the beginning of the Family-First Framework Learning Journey — a six-month open opportunity with two 90-minute sessions per month, inviting practitioners, policymakers, and partners to:
- Deepen understanding of the core principles and practical tools for strengthening systems, using the Framework's visual tools
- Share country-level experiences and innovations
- Co-develop strategies for applying the Framework tools to strengthen family-based care systems
