[Webinar Recording] Supporting Parents Under Pressure: Integrating Parenting and Psychosocial Support in Crisis Settings

Global Parenting Initative

Parents living through conflict, displacement, and humanitarian crises faced extraordinary pressures that affected both their own wellbeing and their children’s development. This Global Parenting Initiative webinar brought together global and field-level perspectives to explore how parenting and psychosocial support could be better aligned within humanitarian systems.

Drawing on global experience and implementation research from the Thai-Myanmar border, Ukraine, and Jordan, the webinar examined what integration looked like in practice, including successes, challenges, and implications for programme design and scale.

The panel was moderated by Amanda Sim and featured speakers including Felicity Brown, a mental health and psychosocial support specialist at UNICEF; Eve Puffer, Associate Professor at Duke University; Sydney Tucker of the Global Hope Groups Collaborative; Nisreen Hawatmeh, Founder of SANADAK Orphan Ministry; and Nicole Baldonado, Director of Programming for the Global Hope Groups Collaborative.
