Older people caring for orphans and vulnerable children in Africa are severely affected by HIV/AIDS. They face hardship and isolation, and are in urgent need of support. International HIV/AIDS Alliance and HelpAge International have created this policy brief to highlight the critical role older carergivers play in sustaining vulnerable families. The report outlines current responses and challenges to providing support, as well as provides recommendations for future action.
