The Global Parenting Initiative will be hosting a 90-minute webinar on Disability Inclusion in Parenting Programmes.
Parenting a child with disabilities requires additional skills, resources, and knowledge. This session will explore how programmes across different contexts, particularly in the Global South, are effectively integrating disability inclusion into their design and delivery.
While the focus will be on children with disabilities, they will also discuss the importance of ensuring that parenting programmes are accessible to parents with disabilities. Presentations will highlight key considerations for developing inclusive parenting programmes. Speakers will also share experiences from a range of countries and regions. The presentations will be followed by a Q&A session and open discussion where you will be given an opportunity to ask questions or comment on the topic.
