The ISPCAN Melbourne 2026 Congress is the flagship international gathering of the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (ISPCAN), taking place 24–26 August 2026, with related events including pre-congress working groups and the Rise Up Policy Forum on 27 August in Melbourne, Australia. This multidisciplinary conference brings together researchers, practitioners, policymakers and advocates from around the world to share cutting-edge research, innovative practices and policy solutions aimed at preventing and responding to child abuse, neglect and exploitation. Under the theme “Transforming Approaches to Safety and Healing,” the program explores topics such as out-of-home care, youth justice, digital safety, public health strategies, cultural diversity, and family-centred violence responses, fostering collaboration across sectors to improve systems of care and child protection. Attendees typically include professionals from law, medicine, social work, education, public health and related fields, representing dozens of countries and contributing to global dialogue on strengthening child safety and well-being.
