Across Africa, millions of children are growing up without parental care despite strong traditions of family and community support. General Comment No. 10 of the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child provides a powerful framework for strengthening family-based care and transforming child protection systems across the continent.

This webinar, jointly hosted by the Child Rights Network for Southern Africa (CRNSA), Transform Alliance Africa (TAA) and the Family First Alliance for Children Without Parental Care in Africa (FAFICA), brings together governments, civil society organisations, people with lived experience, researchers, faith leaders and development partners to explore how we move from policy to implementation.

Participants will:

  • Explore the practical application of General Comment No. 10.
  • Share innovations and experiences from across Southern Africa.
  • Strengthen collaboration across countries and organisations
  • Identify practical actions to ensure every child grows up in a safe, loving and supportive family. Together ( through partnership) we can strengthen family care systems across Africa.
