Seen, Counted, Protected: Identity Rights for Children on the Move

Family For Every Child

Date: 9 June 2026

Time:13:00 - 14:30 (UTC)

Around the world, an estimated one billion people cannot prove who they are. For children on the move, whether displaced by conflict, poverty or climate the absence of a legal identity can shape an entire life.

Seen, Counted, Protected is a 90-minute virtual session that brings together frontline organisations from Colombia, Greece, Guatemala, Mexico, Nepal, and the United Kingdom.

Together they are working to ensure that every child, regardless of where they were born or where they now live, can be seen, counted, and protected by the systems that should serve them.

During this webinar, speakers will be in live conversation with each other across three rounds, each exploring a different dimension of the problem: the barriers to registration, the challenge of shifting official systems, and what identity means beyond a document. Between each round, you will have space to react, ask questions, and add your own perspective.

This Webinar will be in English and Spanish.
