Webinar: Building Evidence to Impact Care Reform: Challenges and Lessons LearnedWebinar: Building Evidence to Impact Care Reform: Challenges and Lessons Learned

  • Date: November 20, 2024
  • Time: 9AM-10:30AM EST

The Evidence for Impact Working Group on the Transforming Children’s Care Collaborative aims to foster a strategic and coordinated approach to generating and applying ‘evidence for impact’ on children’s care policy, system strengthening and practice. As part of a continuous discussion about what evidence is and how it can best drive impact, this webinar is an opportunity to hear from two working group members about ongoing research projects that were designed to inform system strengthening initiatives:

Lumos’ global thematic review examining the well-acknowledged but under-researched relationship between education and institutional care and Changing the Way We Care’s child and caregiver surveys exploring protective factors and well-being after reintegration from residential care and within families at risk of separation.

The webinar will include an overview of the research findings and a discussion around the approaches to and challenges of building towards impact.

Spanish interpretation available.

The Evidence for Impact Working Group brings together researchers, measurement experts and practitioners working on establishing data systems on children’s care to foster a strategic and well-coordinated approach to research and data in the sector, with a focus on generating and applying ‘evidence for impact’ on policy, systems and practice globally.
