The Alliance for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action, Better Care NetworkEarly Childhood Development Action Network, INSPIRE Implementation Working Group, Moving Minds Alliance and Georgetown University’s Collaborative on Global Children’s Issues are co-convening a webinar for child protection, care, and development stakeholders to share and discuss recommendations to address the impact of U.S. foreign aid cuts on children and their families and sustain progress in the changing landscape.

This webinar builds on the work the Collaborative on Global Children’s Issues at Georgetown University’s Children in Adversity Project has done over the past year to document and preserve lessons learned from over 30 years of U.S. government leadership and investment to support vulnerable children and convene diverse stakeholders to consider new paths for local leadership and global solidarity. The forthcoming reports—“A legacy of Care: Historical Perspectives and Lessons from 35 Years of US Government Support to Children in Adversity” and “Where do we go from here to support children in adversity: Recommendations from the front lines”—will be shared and inform discussions on opportunities for further learning and collective action for children’s development, care and protection in this changed and challenging ecosystem.
