This webinar, organized by CEN (a joint initiative of RELAF and Hope and Homes for Children), will be held on the one year anniversary of the tragedy that took place at the "Hogar Seguro" residential care institution in Guatemala in which 41 girls who resided in the institution died in a fire, and still more were severly traumatized. The objective of this webinar is to evaluate the current sitution in regards to children's institutionalization in Guatemala and raise a call to action to ensure similar tragedies never happen again. The call to action aims to strengthen existing initiatives and engage the community to work towards child protection reform in Guatemala and the region.
