UNICEF is seeking a consultant to support the Inter Agency Child Protection Information Management System Users Group. The consultant supporting the Inter Agency Child Protection Information Management System Users Group will play a key role in facilitating the coordination of the new child protection information management system software (CPIMS+) Users Group, supporting the implementation of the CPIMS+ at field level, and overseeing the transition of the IA CPIMS to the CPIMS+ in line with the CPIMS+ Terms of Reference.  

Purpose

The purpose of this consultancy is to take the CPIMS+ to scale in humanitarian responses, as well as to inform the ongoing development of the application (Primero v2). This will include ensuring that the database, deployment process, guidance, capacity building material and website are fully developed, of high quality, field-friendly and regularly updated. The consultant will be crucial for implementing the recommendations of the review commissioned by the CPIMS+ Users Group in the spring of 2018.

The consultant will support the dissemination of principles and protocols for data handling in child protection information management systems, including remote and hands-on technical support for the roll-out of the CPIMS+/Primero, and support to users of the CPIMS+ in the migration from the legacy system, providing regular communications on system developments, bug fixes and patches, and information on security, procedures and best practices.

The consultant will also act as the Coordinator of the CPIMS Users’ Group, and manage links with the GBVIMS technical team and represent the CPIMS on the Primero Coordination Committee (PCC).  The consultant will support the Users Group to articulate the role for country level coordination groups to play in promoting the use of CPIMS+ in collaboration with the CP AoR. The consultant will mainstream the use of new tools, such as the Primero Support Hub, to ensure widespread adoption and use.
