Save the Children UK is currently looking for a Deputy Head of Child Protection to join its Child Protection Team on a fixed term contact. This is a strategic role who will support the set-up and delivery of high quality child protection programmes, while also connecting field experience to capacity building, programme policy development, research, innovation and advocacy at the global level. The ideal candidate will also lead the team’s evaluation and research strategy.
The post holder’s main responsibility will be to work with the Head of the Child Protection team to lead and develop the team to deliver on SCUK’s Ambition 2015 Child Protection Strategy.
Responsibilities will include:
- supporting the setup and delivery of high quality child protection programmes while also connecting field experience to capacity building, programme policy development, research, innovation and advocacy at the global level
- taking a specific lead on support to country programmes and lead the team’s evaluation and research strategy
- managing Child Protection technical advisors to deliver a high quality technical service to Save the Children country programmes.
