Family for Every Child is looking for a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Consultant to facilitate the process of strengthening Family for Every Child’s culture, systems and practices in a way that truly and effectively ensures Diversity, Equity and Inclusion across the organisation.
Family for Every Child aims to model itself as an organisation that makes itself responsible for ensuring that all diverse voices are heard, taken into account and incorporated and integrated into our various ways of working (of programmes, policies and practices), decision making and synergised with their identity as a truly globally representative organisation.
The organisation is therefore seeking a Consultant who will achieve the above through a safe, participatory and empathetic approach to deliver these specific tasks:
- Facilitate conversations, acknowledging the difficulties and resistance in such conversations, and suggesting ways to express and address these;
- Identify strengths and areas for improvement;
- Strategise ways to identify and manage the existing power imbalances across age, gender, ethnicity, race, culture, religion, disability, sexual orientation and education at various layers of the organisation such as membership, Secretariat, governance, programming, HR, operations, communications, fundraising and organisational positioning (both internal and external); and
- Recommend short, medium and long term strategies and actions towards safe, effective, accountable, measurable, integrated and sustainable approach and mechanisms.
