In September 2025, we begin a new edition of the Mutual Learning Program (the seventh already!). A six-month global journey of co-creation and reflection on family- and community-based care.
Together with professionals, community leaders, and organizations from across the world, this program will explore how to centre families and communities in care systems for vulnerable children. Not through teaching, but by learning together.
🌍 About the Mutual Learning Program
The Mutual Learning Program brings together practitioners from around the world to explore key themes in family- and community-based care. We learn from each other’s experiences and ideas and co-create new ways forward.
This six-month program includes four thematic modules:
- Collaborative and Dialogic Practices (6 sessions)
- How to Work with Families and Communities (3 sessions)
- The “HOW” of Transformation (3 sessions)
- Community-Based Care (3 sessions)
You’ll join interactive dialogue sessions with peers across the globe and gain access to our online platform environment, with relevant materials and a dedicated forum for each session. At the heart of the program are our 2-hour live Zoom sessions, where we truly meet each other and go deep into the practice of care and transformation.
🗓️ Duration: September 2025 – February 2026
🌐 Language: English & Spanish
You can choose to join one or more modules, depending on your interest and availability. Module 1 (Collaborative and Dialogic Practices) is mandatory for all participants, as it lays the foundation for our shared learning approach.
Who is this for?
- NGOs and grassroots organisations
- Child protection and social care professionals
- Community-based practitioners and caregivers
- Policy advocates and systems changemakers
This space is for everyone working to make care more relational, family-rooted and community-driven.
