Depending on the country context, child protection systems may cut across part of the social welfare, education, health, and security sectors.

How can you make a difference? 
The Child Protection Specialist (Social Welfare), P4 develops and supports the work of the office around prevention and response to violence against child, social welfare systems strengthening including family support services, adoption, alternative care and social protection.

The Specialist contributes to the achievement of concrete and sustainable programme/project results according to plans, allocation, results based-management approaches and methodology and UNICEF’s Strategic Plans, standards of performance and accountability framework.

This will include:

  1. Programme development, planning and management
  2. Advisory services and technical support
  3. Advocacy, networking and partnership building
  4. Innovation, knowledge management and capacity building
  5. Management support
