Dan Rather, a news anchor and investigative reporter from the U.S. recently produced and aired a documentary special on the phenomenon of “re-homing” internationally adopted children in the United States. The documentary focuses on Ethiopian adoptions to the US and shines light on the very little oversight and regulation of these adoptions once the children are in the US - particularly when it comes to adoptive parents sending their adopted children to new families in the US.
