This article reports on discussions from the Global Technical Financing Forum on Early Childhood Development held in Kigali, Rwanda, where governments, UN agencies, and development partners explored strategies to improve and scale financing for holistic services for young children. Participants emphasized the need to move beyond fragmented funding approaches and instead strengthen coordinated, multisectoral investment in health, nutrition, early learning, protection, and caregiver support. The forum highlighted persistent gaps in financing for early childhood development, particularly in low- and middle-income countries, and called for stronger public systems, improved data and accountability mechanisms, and innovative financing solutions.
