This article highlights a warning from the UN Special Rapporteur on trafficking in persons about the growing risks of child trafficking among migrant, forcibly displaced, and stateless children. It examines how factors such as conflict, displacement, weak child protection systems, discrimination, and gaps in legal protection increase children’s vulnerability to exploitation, while calling for stronger prevention measures, improved identification and support for child victims, and rights-based responses that place children’s safety and best interests at the center.
