MWENDO, a Kenyan Community Based Organization (CBO,) has launched a 5 year child protection program in 15 Counties, according to this article from Kenya News Agency. The organization, Making Well informed Efforts to Nurture Disadvantaged Orphans and Vulnerable Children (MWENDO), is partnering with Catholic Relief Services to deliever services to households caring for orphans and vulnerable children, among others. Deputy county commissioner, Walter Ngaira said "the AAC has mapped out areas where child abuse was rampant and was ready to work with MWENDO to safeguard children against child neglect, labor and defilement among other forms of abuse."
