Opioid crisis leads to more child abuse in Utah

This article from KUTV draws connections between what is called the "opioid crisis" in the state of Utah, and all over the United States, and the growing incidence of child abuse in the state. According to the article, the Utah Division of Child and Family Services began collecting data on the correlation between opioid addiction and child abuse in May and found that the percent of child abuse cases that had substance abuse as a contributing factor has risen in the last year and a half, from 67% to 73%.
