The HOME Project is a unifying initiative set up to address the needs of refugees and refugee children in particular who have arrived in Greece alone. Through its programs it looks to provide relief from suffering to all those affected by the crisis and to give hope out of despair. Libra has committed to the following actions to support refugees in Greece, particularly unaccompanied minors:

  • Computer, language, therapy and security support for displaced persons in transit or at risk
  • Educational bursaries, scholarships and internship opportunities throughout Libra's network of schools and colleges and across the 30 Libra global subsidiaries
  • Partnerships and ongoing funding commitments to international humanitarian aid organizations and charities with a specific focus on children, young families and refugee children
  • Facilitate and engage dialogue at the highest levels to promote the cause of refugees throughout the world, ensuring their plight is on world leader agendas with safety, education and employability as key interventions

The HOME Project also opened 11 shelter facilites in Athens, Greece where lone children receive a holistic network of services covering food, material, medical provision, social, legal, psychological support and obtain immediate access to education and training.
