Paraguay Protege Familias (PPF) is a volunteer movement (led by a group of children's homes, foster care agencies and other organizations, churches and pastoral networks, professionals, and business leaders) that seeks to support families and ensure that all children that cannot remain with their birth families are placed in the care of safe and loving families. This is achieved by mobilizing every segment of society, along with connecting with decision-makers and those who work directly with Paraguay's vulnerable children and families.
The Perú por los Niños network was established in 2018 for the purpose of uniting NGOs, faith communities, and government leaders who desire to work toward healthy family care for all Peruvian children.
Created in 2012, Pontes de Amor is a non-profit Philanthropic Organization, affiliated to the National Association of Adoption Support Groups (ANGAAD), which operates in Uberlândia and the Mineiro Triangle in Brazil. It arose from the concern with the guarantee of the rights of institutionalized children / adolescents and the high rates of return of children by adoptive families in Brazil and from family crises in the post-adoption period due to lack of support, psychological and psycho-pedagogical support.
Since Railway Children was founded in 1995, the charity has had one mission: to create and enable sustainable change for children living alone at at risk on the streets. In India, Tanzania and the UK, Railway Children have changed the lives of thousands of vulnerable children living alone and at risk on the streets and achieved landmark policy changes across all three countries to better protect street-connected children.
Restoring Hope's mission is to care for orphaned children through family-style homes, education and discipleship, empowering future leaders to build healthy communities. Restoring Hope is a ministry of India Christian Ministries and began in 2008 with eight church-based children’s homes and 80 children. Their vision is for holistic restoration of India’s orphaned children for lives of dignity, purpose and transformation of their communities.
Founded in 2005 in partnership with its Kenyan counterpart, the Children’s Transformation Project–Kenya, SAFE INTERNATIONAL began by responding to the urgent needs of children living on the streets of Kakamega, guided by a vision of family-based care and long-term security for every child.
SFAC aims to ensure that everyone providing care for vulnerable children can access training and professional support that is accessible, adaptable and applicable to their own culture and context. They work closely with local partners to help them set up and implement systems and procedures appropriate to their organisation to allow them to provide the best possible care for the children they work with.
The Problem:
Shelter Yetu was founded in 2004 in Naivasha, Kenya to respond to the growing crisis of children living on the streets. In its early years, the organization operated as a residential home, providing food, shelter, and basic care to street-connected children who had no safe place to turn.
