This event takes place virtually and presents a unique opportunity for social service practitioners, experts and policy makers from around the world to come together to discuss the biggest issues facing the social service workforce today, including the impact of the pandemic on the social service workforce as well as on the role of the social service workforce in social justice.

IACN, in collaboration with UNICEF, is organising a learning session on kinship care on 15 September, from 4:30 p.m to 6: 00 p.m. In this session, speakers and organisations will discuss their interventions on kinship care in diverse contexts in India. Additionally, a researcher from Ghana will share the findings of a qualitative study on the experiences of children and caregivers in kinship care.  Please see below for details of the session.

In this online event, participants will hear from three local practitioners who are part of Family for Every Child's global alliance about the innovative programmes they are using to tackle issues around domestic violence during COVID-19 lockdowns.

This high-level virtual Conference will be focusing specifically on three overriding themes: the current national capacity to address violence against children, the progress Africa has made thus far in addressing violence against children, and the home-grown initiatives that have been effective in reducing violence against children in Africa.
