The Africa Early Childhood Network (AfECN) is a registered non-profit, established in 2015 to serve as a platform to champion excellence and collaboration in protecting children's rights, influence policy and practice, strengthen partnerships, and share experiences and knowledge in ECD on the African continent. The network is comprised of organisations from civil society, academia, government, and the private sector at national and regional levels.

The specific objectives of the conference are to: (a) identify the causes, nature and magnitude of child sexual abuse in Africa; (b) create a forum to identify strategies to deal with sexual violence against children; (c) provide an opportunity to share information and experiences with a view to enhancing partnership and networking.

Formed in October 2016, and originally named the Alternative Care Alliance – Kenya, the Association for Alternative Family Care of Children brings together individuals, Government and non-governmental organizations to work towards the implementation of the Guidelines for the Alternative Family Care of Children in Kenya. The Association consolidates diverse knowledge, skills and voices to shape and promote child care reforms that will strengthen and preserve family and community based care approaches.
Child in Family Focus – Kenya works to reform the child care system in Kenya to ensure all children grow up in safe families by advocating for family-based alternative care and assisting long term residential care programs to undergo deinstitutionalisation.
