This paper discusses the results of a qualitative study on adult care leavers in Flanders (Belgium).

Concept mapping was used to identify the needs of grandparents who take care of their grandchildren in formal foster care in Flanders (Dutch speaking part of Belgium).

Opening Doors for Europe’s Children held a campaign roundtable on migrant children at the Committee of the Regions in Brussels on 1 March 2016. The conclusion from this event is that “migrant and refugee children have the same rights as other children, and their institutionalisation is incompatible with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).” 

The objective of the project is to reduce the numbers of unaccompanied children who go missing. This project addresses how the issue of the disappearance of an unaccompanied child is tackled in different Member States and promotes promising strategies and behaviours related to the prevention and response to disappearances.
