This Human Rights Council Side event included presentations on family separation in the African, Asian, European, and Latin American contexts. 

This booklet was developed by Mamelani Projects, a community development organisation in South Africa. The booklet outlines Mamelani’s approach to Youth Development and providing transitional support to young people as they transition out of Child and Youth Care Centres (CYCCs).

In an effort to support practitioners to address some challenges of trying to undertake quality research, a group of child protection networks and organizations - the Community Child Protection Exchange, the CP MERG, the CPC Learning Network, and REPSSI - came together to produce this joint newsletter reflecting upon some groups’ successes and challenges working on child protection research and M&E, including working with a limited budget in low-resource settings.

This presentation, produced by Better Care Network (BCN), International Social Service (ISS), Save the Children, and SOS Children's Villages, was given at a 2014 briefing of the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACERWC). The objectives of the Alternative Care Briefing were to increase the understanding of and recommendations on the implementation of the Guidelines for the Alternative Care of Children when reviewing State Party Reports and drafting general recommendations and to create opportunities to promote the Guidelines for the Alternative Care of Children in its 5th anniversary.
