This publication examines the role of an integrated social protection system in strengthening family resilience, preventing family separation and supporting child protection and care reform. The brief outlines how coordinated cash transfers, social services and case management can more effectively address multidimensional vulnerabilities faced by children and families, particularly in the context of conflict, displacement and decentralization.

This report, from Ireland, provides a comprehensive exploration of the principles and practice of independent advocacy for children and young people with care experience, with a view to signposting what constitutes best practice in this field and proposing a model of advocacy practice which reflects the key themes arising. This paper aimed to assess the effectiveness of psychosocial and parenting support groups, called ’Hope Groups,’ on improvements in caregiver mental health, positive parenting, and prevention of violence against children, for families affected by the war in Ukraine, using a pre/post study design.

This study protocol outlines the first randomized controlled trial of Hope Groups—a 12-session psychosocial, mental health, and parenting support program—among Ukrainians affected by war. The trial aims to assess its impact on caregiver mental health, violence prevention, and family well-being, with potential for global adaptation and scale-up in other crisis-affected settings if proven effective.

The Final Report: Changing the Way We Care; Year 5 Evaluation highlights the Changing The Way We Care (CTWWC) initiative’s substantial contributions to advancing care reform globally and in demonstration countries—Guatemala, Kenya, and Moldova—through strengthened policies, systems, and stakeholder collaboration.

În primăvara anului 2021, programul Changing the Way We Care (CTWWC) a lansat un sondaj pentru a studia comunitatea de credință din Moldova și implicarea acesteia în reforma sistemului de îngrijire a copiilor. Scopul acestui sondaj a fost de a înțelege mai bine angajamentul actual și potențial al organizațiilor și liderilor de credință în calitate de persoane de influență și furnizori de servicii, dar și de a identifica orice obstacole în calea implicării acestora în reforma respectivă.
